our HiSTORY

Fate and vision brought Natalie Sorrentino and Jill Cotton together.

Natalie, a native of Michigan and then Central Florida, has been immersed in interior design since the day she graduated from Florida State University. As a child, she loved to rearrange furniture and was obsessed with fabrics. It wasn’t until her sophomore year of college that she learned she could make a living doing what she loved. As a professional, her artistic abilities and strong work ethic in the luxury residential industry lead to wide recognition for her.

Jill, on the other hand, was raised in rural Indiana and attended Purdue University. Under the guidance of her builder/developer father, she was intrigued by the idea of a career in the design field. Through his actions in life and in business, he taught her the importance of being approachable and the importance of strong communication skills.

Natalie and Jill’s paths crossed more than 20 years ago while working in the industry. Jill’s strength was operations and business development, and Natalie’s, of course, was in design. Their “aha” moment came one day while talking and drinking too much coffee. It quickly became clear their individual experiences and talents, coupled with their shared vision, were the perfect recipe for a successful firm.

Like their talents, they combined their names — Sorrentino and Cotton — for Soco Interiors.

It was the start of something special.
